Thursday 15 December 2022 Bubble Homework - Brazil Year 5 shared their fantastic pieces of homework with one another. They had clearly worked very hard and demonstrated great pride in their work.

Friday 9 December 2022 Year 5 and 6 Wonderstruck On Wednesday 7th December, Year 5 and 6 visited The Cotswold School to watch Wonderstruck: The Rocket Show. During the show the children looked at the science of how rockets work and also the history of their development from the invention of black powder up to the development of reusable boosters and space tourism. The show included demonstrations of a working pulse jet engine, a hybrid rocket motor and a full-size, working rocket car! The children absolutely loved it.

Tuesday 6 December 2022 Experience Christmas On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 went to St. Peter's and Paul's to meet the Open the Book team. We were involved in five different activities based around the Christmas story.

Tuesday 6 December 2022 Year 5 / 6 Computing Day On Monday, Years 5 and 6 had an entire day of computing. Their task was to plan, design and create a Christmas game that would be suitable for Reception aged children to play. Lots of thought, hard work and innovative ideas were on show and the children were even lucky enough to have our current Receptions trial their games!

Tuesday 29 November 2022 Y5 Square Numbers Last week, Y5 investigated square numbers using counters. They were challenged with finding all of the square numbers up to 100.

Tuesday 8 November 2022 Layers of the Rainforest Year 5 have been learning about the different layers of the rainforest and the types of animals that live there. They wrote some brilliant pieces explain each layer and its characteristics.
