School Meals & FSM
School Meals
Each day there is a choice of three cooked lunches, including a vegetarian option. The meals are prepared and cooked daily, in our school kitchen.
The menu choice for the week is available in advance from Caterlink. Copies are emailed to all parents when the menu choice changes or it can be downloaded below. The children make their lunch selection each morning in class during morning registration.
At the beginning of the school year, the parents of our new Reception children are given a menu choice sheet to select their child’s meal choice for the first term. From Term 2 they join the same system as the older children which is to make their own selection each morning.
Meals must be paid for in advance, a pupil meal costs £2.85. A ParentPay account will be set up for each family. You can access your ParentPay account online to make your meal payments (please find the link below), as well as setting up low balance reminders.
Please see our current menu's below:
Universal Free School Meals (UIFSM) - Reception & KS1
Since September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. Children make their menu choice in the morning and all lunch routines are exactly the same.
UIFSM is not the same as Free School Meals (please see below).
Free School Meals (FSM) - Reception - Year 6
Why should I apply?
It's worthwhile applying for free school meals; for every child that is entitled to free school meals the school receives extra funding to enhance provision and improve progress and outcomes for children.
So, if you are eligible, please apply even if you do not wish to take up your free school meal or your child receives UIFSM
