Year 5/6 (and 3/4!) Cricket tournament

On Friday, Mr Miles and I took 2 teams of Cricketers to Cirencester, for the Area Tournament. It was a fantastic day of cricket, filled with pride, resilience and sporting excellence. It was the pinnacle of our sporting year, topping off a series of successful team events for our small school. Both teams played exceptionally well, considering they had never played together before! With the support of Mr Miles, they put into place all of the skills and tactics they had learned in PE, and one of the teams managed to take home the win! They are now off to Cheltenham, to play the winners of the individual Area tournaments, against the best teams in Gloucestershire (and Bristol). We, as always, and immensely proud of these children, this is such a high profile win for our small school, they are just AMAZING!
