Year 3/4 Drama Workshop

What a brilliant morning we had with Rich, Rob, Josh and Charlie from 4Front Theatre! Making the most of the good weather, we did our drama workshop outside on the playground. We warmed up with a variety of games including 'Splat', 'Pufferfish, Sharks and Catfish' and 'Fishy fishy'. We then started thinking about how to use our bodies to make objects beginning different letters. We did this first individually, then in groups of different sizes. Finally, as a whole class we created a freeze-frame of a football match.

We listened to the parable 'The Good Samaritan'. We broke the story down into 5 main sections and in our groups we created freeze-frames for each of the 5 parts of the story. Look at our pictures, can you work out which part of the parable we are showing?

Year 3/4 Drama Workshop

In the afternoon, we went to the Church to watch Rich, Rob, Josh and Charlie perform the musical, 'Fisherman's Tail'. Taking on the roles of fishermen, Simon, Andrew, James and John (Jesus' disciples), they told us of the life and miracles of Jesus. We loved this interactive play and recognised so many of the stories from the Bible!
