Which toy car will travel the furthest?

We were given this question and four toy cars. We thought very carefully about how to make sure this test was fair. As a class, we planned our test. We considered the things that we had to keep the same (the surface the cars were on and the force of the push) and we made some great predictions as to which one we thought would travel the furthest and why.

We then had great fun in the playground seeing how far each of the four cars would travel and measuring the distance in cm. The biggest car travelled the furthest (300cm exactly). We were then interested to know why. Was is because it was the biggest? Was it because it was the heaviest? Was it because it had the largest wheels? We had some amazing ideas!
