The Visible Spectrum of Light

This term, in science, Alder class are learning all about light. They know that light travels in straight lines and how we use light to see objects. This week we explored the different colours that make up light and discovered that it is made up of many colours - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet - the rainbow! We created our own "prisms" with bubbles! By shining a torch through our bubbles, the light refracted and the different colours seemingly split as each colour has a different wavelength.
