Oak - Stratford Butterfly Farm
Oak Class had the most fantastic time at the Stratford Butterfly Farm. We were shown around the jungle by Wildlife Will. Everyone thought it was very funny when a butterfly landed on his bottom!! There were hundreds of large, beautiful butterflies fluttering around us and tiny tree frogs making a real racket. We loved the three iguanas, Buddy, Benny and Prudence. They were sitting around looking very unconcerned about everything. We got to hold a stick insect and learn about the life-cycle of a butterfly. We also got to see a tarantula, a caiman called Kenny and hundreds of leaf-cutter ants crawling above our heads. After lunch in the garden, we walked to the local playpark for active fun before catching the coach home. The children were a delight to be with, great company and demonstrated super behaviour. We were very proud of them.
