Oak - Buttercup's Baptism
Yesterday, Oak Class walked over to the church for a very important occasion. One of our class babies was having her baptism. The children chose which doll they would like to have baptised, chose her name, Buttercup Rose, and dressed her in a christening gown that was over 100 years old. Bishop David kindly conducted the baptism for us. He showed us all the items needed to carry out a baptism including a very special silver shell, used to baptise hundreds of babies (including some of the children!) Bishop David allowed us each to put a cross on Buttercup's head with anointed oil. It was a beautiful ceremony.
