Oak - British Science Week 2025

Oak Class had a great start to British Science Week yesterday. We took part in a live online lesson from Willowbrook Farm. We learnt how we can become Change Champions by saving energy and reducing waste as well as seeing the sheep, goats and chickens on the farm.

In the afternoon, we learnt that the moon is a lot further from the Earth than we thought! We created paper rockets and 'fired' them into the air using rocket launchers (straws!) The children had the option of creating fins or wings for their rockets to see how that would affect the rocket's flight.

We had a great time!
