Exercise Investigation

In Science this week, Year 6 have been thinking about the impact exercise has on the human body. Exercise is defined as a physical activity that requires effort, raises your heart rate and works your muscles.

In groups, children created a question that needed to be answered about exercise. For example, does running round the playground raise your heartbeat more than skipping round the playground?

In order to test this, Year 6 needed to find their resting pulse before seeing how the different exercises alters it.
