British Science Week and Explorer Dome

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed our day of Science during British Science Week. We tested the theory that you could predict the height of a child, by taking their age in months and plotting it on our class graph. The children measured their own height, calculated their age in months, and plotted the data on a graph to compare this with how scientists estimate a shark's age from its length. Once we found a best fit line, our result were surprisingly accurate, with the odd anomaly!

We then went on to look at the most aerodynamic designs for aeroplanes.

Topped off with the whole school treat, Explorer Dome, where we were treated to a trip around our solar system!
