British Science Week 2023

The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities in British Science Week. They completed the Happy Smells activity, thinking about how smells can invoke memories and feelings, and can also make us aware of danger. As well as thinking about smells that make us happy, the children also had to identify hidden smells such as lemon, curry powder, strawberry jam and Marmite. 

The children also thought about the life story of broccoli! The way it is planted, harvested, sold, prepared and eaten. Some got to try broccoli raw for the first time and even tried tasting broccoli stalk.
