Area Athletics Heats

At the end of last term, 40 AMAZING athletes took to The Cotswold School to take part in our biggest event in the sporting calendar. Just to be invited to take part is a huge accomplishment. There were 12 other schools in attendance and we managed to secure lots of 1st and 2nd places in the finals for 17 children, meaning they qualify for the Area Finals at Kingshill Secondary School on the 26th June. This is a fantastic accomplishment, and 50% more children qualifying for the finals from Northleach year on year, so the progress the whole school is making is phenomenal. 6 children have qualified for more than one event, and we have a staggering 6 triple jumpers - this is clearly our event! 7 of the qualifying children came from year 3, what a successful introduction to this level of competition. Proud moment for our school.
