Area Athletics

Last Friday, 36 children attended our local district athletics event, to try out for a spot in the area finals in June. The children were a real credit to themselves and to the school. I was so proud of their resilience, perseverance and their team spirit. There were a few nerves, but these were quickly overcome, and a brilliant day was had by all. I am delighted that we have 12 athletes qualify for the area finals in 17 events, having finished in 1st or 2nd place, and we have a further 11 children as first reserve.
